Welcome to The Kaleigh Edit, where I help families figure out where to go, what to do, and how to make the most of it.

I’m Kaleigh Sullivan, a Maryland mom of two and the creator behind The Kaleigh Edit. You’ll usually find us exploring somewhere around DC, Maryland, and Virginia, heading out on a weekend road trip, or packing our bags for our next family vacation.

I’m the person who researches everything before we go. Where should we stay? What’s actually worth the money? What will the kids really enjoy? Where do we park? How much time do we need? And what would I want another parent to tell me before I get there?

Somewhere along the way, I realized all that research could help other families too. So The Kaleigh Edit became the place where I share what we discover, from DMV parks, events, attractions, and hidden gems to road trips, hotels, cruises, and bigger family adventures.

Most of the time, it’s just me and my two kids out exploring, so everything you see here comes from firsthand experience and the perspective of a parent actually doing it.

I want finding something to do with your family to feel easier.

Whether you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend around the DMV, planning a quick getaway, or trying to decide whether a bigger trip is actually worth it, I want The Kaleigh Edit to be somewhere you can come for an answer.

You’ll find honest reviews, local guides, family-friendly itineraries, seasonal roundups, hotel and attraction recommendations, and the practical details that can make planning with kids so much easier.

I’ll tell you what we loved, what I’d skip, what surprised me, and what I’d do differently next time. Because sometimes the best family memory comes from a big vacation, and sometimes it comes from discovering an incredible place 20 minutes from home.

I do the homework so you can make the memories.
